EYESORES ON THE HILL

Do you want your home surrounded with an ugly flickering light
In the hours before sunset and in the dawn's early light,
Do you want an nasty rumble drowning out the gentle breeze
And the sweet song of the robins as they perch among the trees,
Do you want some great big eyesores sitting right up on that hill,
Then say YES to the windmills, you'll get all of it, you will.

(Chorus)
Say YES to the windmills to destroy our peace of mind
Say YES to the windmills to leave pretty views behind,
But if you want to keep the peaceful lives we hold so dear,
Then say NO to the windmills, get those jerks away from here.

Do you want big trucks a-tearing up our roads around the clock,
With their engines roaring as they clunk and bounce through dirt and rock,
Do you want to risk an accident with blades that can go flying,
Birds and bats caught in the rotors, they will certainly be dying,
Do you want tall towers blotting out the vastness of our sky,
Then say YES to the windmills, and you'll have it bye and bye. .

(Chorus)

There's sister Kathy Boser from around the Chipmonk way
And her friends and neighbors working in the night and in the day
To preserve our homes from con-men who just want to make big bucks,
Who'd tell us what we want to hear, then leave us out of luck,
It's time for all of us to join up and together make a stand,
And say NO to the windmills, get those jerks off of our land,

Say NO to the windmills, to preserve our peace of mind,
Say NO to the windmills, never leave our dreams behind,
We want to keep our peaceful lives, that we hold so dear,
We say NO to the windmills, get those jerks away from here.
